The prokineticin system as an emergent modulator of neuronal function University of Dundee Past award Student: Emanuel Ferreira Lopes : University of Dundee Year Award Started: 2014 Receptors that sense endogenous peptides are important in normal brain function and in human disease. The project aims to investigate the properties of a new family of peptide receptors at the cellular level. The investigation of these receptors is significant as current research has suggested that they may have a role in the signalling pathways involved in pain and neurodegeneration. Research area: Neurological conditions (including stroke) Supervisors: Dr Andrew Irving Division of Neuroscience Back to all awards
